Our Story Starts like this
La Mexicana Restaurant
A Montrose Tradition
When we, the Treviño family, took over La Mexicana, it had been known as a small supermarket. Since 1982, with hard work and preserverance, we have transformed the “small grocery store” into a full service restaurant and bar.
Our goal has always been simple: to provide good food. We aspired for quality and consistency throughout the years, and we believe, that is something we have come to be known for. Just good, simple food.
La Mexicana has been family owned and operated since the begining, and the tradition continues. We are constantly aspiring to introduce new ideas to our valued customers, but with the traditional flair that we are known for.
Whether its a small dinner for two or a large gathering of friends and family, we will attempt the best for you.
Whatever is at your hearts desire, you can find it here. Hearty soups, delicious tacos, unbelievable guisados... the list goes on and on. Salsas, rellenos, breakfasts and seafood... there is something for everyone. With the supervision of America Treviño, we continue to bring authentic, traditional food to an ever-changing world.
Trends may come and go, but one thing is for sure, you can always depend on us. What you ate today will taste the same five years from now, as it did five years earlier. When you combine fresh vegetables, wholesome broths, quality meats, corn and olive oils with homemade, handrolled flour tortillas, its called heaven on earth.
